So just how good is the Emperor? continued...

This leads me to discuss the Emperor's second ability, Force Corruption. With this ability the Emperor can capture any nearby enemy units and force them to turn to the Empire's team. He can do this to anyone, but hero units.

So, now Im going to capture this pitiful gang of pirates and double my land forces all for free! They don't effect the population cap one bit. First thing is first, I must position the Emperor in the midst of the combat so he can capture as many pirates as possible. Little do they know...

Once in range... activate his second ability, and instant free units!

HINT: When playing against a skilled human player, dont expect them to allow you to center the Emperor right in the middle of their army. They know why you are moving him close, so just get him as close as possible and then activate his ability. But always try to get as many units as possible in the Corruption radius.

Now that you activated his ability, you have an instant squadron of units in your command. But these units have disadvantages:

A. They slowly die after being corrupted, use them quickly and dont be afraid to, as they are free units.

B. They can die in your own bombing runs. So be careful not to get them under the rain of fire.

Now with my nice new pirate units, I am going to begin moving toward the actual pirate base. On most maps they are usually on the otherside of where you landed your forces. BUT they can and will be in different places than if you were attacking an enemy rebel team. So on some planets you may have to look a bit. But luckily I have the sensor array which lets me see the base location.
HINT: When using a hero unit to attack a planet single handedly it is always a good idea to construct a bacta tank at a build pad if their health gets too low. Espicially when dealing with the Emperor as if he dies you lose the entire game.

As we moved closer toward the pirate base we encountered a few more pirate soldiers, remember the Emperor can deal with them easily. And if his force lightning isn't ready, he can always use his lightsaber. His normal attack is also effective against bigger units like Pod Walkers.

There we go step one complete!
